The Brief

Lights, Camera, Action!
Your 48-hour filmmaking challenge begins now!

It's time for your team leader to check their inbox. They will have received an optional Title and an optional Genre, a mandatory Line and a mandatory Prop. Here's how you should incorporate these elements into your film:

Optional Title: This is a suggested title for your film. We provide this for initial guidance but you are welcome to choose your own title.

Optional Genre: While you are given a genre suggestion, you're not obligated to adhere to it. It serves as inspiration in case your team needs direction.

Mandatory Line: Incorporate the provided line into your film. You can feature it prominently or subtly, but ensure it's included. If your line is delivered in another language to English or in sign language, please ensure it is paired with English subtitles.

Mandatory Prop: You will receive two prop suggestions; please select and source one of them to be featured in your film. The chosen prop must be interacted with or clearly acknowledged within the film—merely using it as part of set decoration won't suffice.

Submission and rules: Remember to submit your film by 7pm BST. For more information on how to submit your film and the rules of the competition view our Rules page on this website.

If you haven't received your brief by 7:10, please reach out to info@48hrfilmfest.com. We wish you good luck and look forward to seeing your films.
